What is a Queue Assistance Band?

The Queue Assistance Band is a free service offered at Coral Reef Waterworld for guests who are unable to stand for extended periods due to a long-term physical, learning, or emotional disability.

It provides reduced queuing time for waterslides by allowing access at scheduled half-hourly intervals, in line with lifeguard rotation. Outside these times, all guests must queue as normal.

This service does not provide instant ride access, and a valid online booking is still required.

How to Get a Queue Assistance Band

To request a Queue Assistance Band, you must:

Book an Adult or Junior Concession ticket online.

Hold a valid Access Card that displays the Standing and Queuing symbol.

Who Qualifies?

Queue Assistance Bands are only available to guests who meet the criteria for a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010. This means the condition must be:

Long-term (12 months or more), and

Have a substantial impact on daily activities.

Not available for temporary injuries or short-term conditions.

Carers and Helpers

Each band covers: the band holder, and one companion, unless the guest is attending with children under 8 years old without another supervising adult.

Access Cards are not issued by Coral Reef. They are part of a national scheme.

How to Apply for an Access Card

Visit: www.accesscard.org.uk

You will be asked to upload documentation evidencing your access requirements and photo ID. We can consider a wide range of evidence from reliable sources that contain enough information to indicate your access requirements, including confirmation of current disability benefit, a letter from a 3rd party professional aware of your needs as well as a variety of other documents such as occupational health reports, care plans, EHCP's, OT assessments.
